| Andrea Stone is Rescue Task Forces Executive Officer. She is also a Team Leader for field volunteer missions and has traveled to Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Mississippi, Louisiana and local work with wounded U.S. Military Heroes.
Andreas work history includes employment with the San Bernardino County Sheriffs Department; she is certified in Forensic Science. She has over eight years in property management where she was twice recognized as Property Manager of the month. Her property management expertise is the rehabilitation of inner-city properties in drug and gang areas. Andreas first relief mission was into the jungles of Honduras / Nicaragua during the cold war assisting refugees from Communism. She was seventeen at the time and that first jungle trip was six months after having undergone open heart surgery. Andreas early relief work in Central America included delivering tons of supplies such as rice, water, hygiene products and general relief supplies to isolated and unassisted refugee camps. Currently she works deep in the jungles of Honduras where Rescue Task force is building full service medical clinics for Moskito Indians, and bringing relief supplies via dug out canoe, horse back, mules, and helicopters. Many Indians have never had contact with the outside world. She also assists RTF volunteer veterinarians delivering medical care and love for animals. Her administrative responsibilities include the fiscal oversight of RTFs four literacy schools for women in Afghanistan. She started the year 2005 in Asia doing Tsunami disaster relief. Leaving the day after the Tsunami struck she did on-site needs assessment and provided tons of immediate relief such as tents, medicine, rubber boots, and general relief supplies. Andrea coordinated the arrival and distribution of 88,000 pounds of incoming ocean fright containers of relief supplies and began the process for Rescue Task Force to build and equip two full service medical clinics and two playgrounds in Sri Lanka. Her most recent missions have taken her to Mississippi and Louisiana leading three teams to Hurricane Katrina disaster areas. Her current projects include; Cambodia where she is starting an RTF pilot project dealing with child sexploitation, building medical clinics in Honduras giving Indian villages their first ever full-time medical care, bringing supplies and hope to those in need in El Salvador and delivering supplies to our wounded U.S. Military that are being medevaced home. Andrea lives in Imperial Beach and is the mother of two children that share her with hundreds of children around the world. |
